Why Is There Still Evil in the World?

If God is good and has the power to destroy evil, why doesn’t He? And if Jesus defeated evil through His death and resurrection, why is evil still here?

The answer may surprise you: Because God loves us. Humanity has become deeply entangled with evil, but God doesn’t want to destroy us along with it. Jesus has already won the decisive victory over evil, and God is patiently giving people the opportunity to turn to Him before evil is finally judged. Evil’s days are numbered, but God’s love is making room for people to enter His Kingdom.
